What Type of Chess Club Player are You?

After running a club since 2019 we have noticed there are certain types of people who come to play.

Casual players:
Chess is usually taught by someone in their family and sometimes that could be a sibling or cousin.
New players:
Typically learn how to capture pieces first.  The concept of checkmate comes after playing many games and learning what to do and not do.
Interested in watching chess being played but not ready to dive in yet.
Tournament players:
Ask if you have a clock and are ready for some serious over the board action.  They know what opening is being played.
Online players:
Enjoy talking about favorite openings, ratings and their favorite streamers.
Most Coaches:
So passionate about the game of chess and what they have learned they will give you a mini-lesson or analysis to help you understand or improve.
Casual and New players may want to consider taking our beginner chess lessons, private or group, teaching you the basic rules and so much more.  These lessons will teach you how to use each of your pieces effectively, different types of endgames, opening principles and tactics.
